The Chocolate War is the best book that I’ve read in a very long time. The masterful use of superbly developed characters leaves you pleading for more. This account is true to teenage life and leaves no stone unturned, so if some sexual undertones or overtones or a vocabulary which includes many four letter words is offensive to you, put this book back on the shelf and read something a little less provocative. If that does not bother you, be sure to savor every word and check into the sequel Beyond The Chocolate War for the second half of this suspenseful story.

The River by Gary Paulson is a must read for all teen readers.  In this sequal to The Hatchet, Brian must go into the woods again...only this time he won't be by himself.  Will Brian and Derek survive a few weeks in the woods or will disaster strike?  This book kept me reading until the very end!  I highly recommend The River by Gary Paulson to all readers.

Neal Shusterman has done it again.  Everlost is an amazing book.  For those familiar with his books, this one will be a bit different, but great nevertheless.  Everlost is a book best read on a weekend when you have time to digest it without putting it down.  This isn't a book to pass on to your younger siblings just yet.  In it Neal gives a view on life, death, and the in between, adding in a few well-developed characters that you're sure to become attached to and a plot that will make the reader ponder life as well as death. You'll be left begging for a sequel, but the ending is strangely satisfying.   With just his words, Shusterman creates a wonderous view of the Hereafter and what lies inbetween in this new novel.

Suggested reading age:  Wait till you're thirteen, kiddies.  Although language wise, the novel is perfectly clean, some of the themes could be deemed a bit disturbing.

Rating: 9.5 out of 10.  This is one of those books that you will throw a fit if they turn it into a movie that isn't just perfect.

It's a Mall World Afterall

While many girls are discovered by modeling scouts while shopping in the mall, Charlotte was scouted for something totally different.  What's her job?  She sprays perfume on enexpecting customers in the mall!  While working one day, she saw Bryant, who just happened to be her best friend's boyfriend.  Bryant was too busy flirting with another girl to notice Charlotte standing there.  When Charlotte told Brianna, her best friend, Brianna wouldn't believe her.  Charlotte then went on a "mission" to catch Bryant cheating on Brianna, but it's hard when Colton Taft is hanging around to make sure this doesn't happen!  It's a Mall World After All by Janette Rallison is a great witty, hysterical book that could totally happen to anyone.  I recommend this book to any reader.  This book is a great read, and I give this book a five star rating!
